Before you pay: ask for one complete quote

A useful quote identifies the model and quantity, product price, delivery charges, installation scope, any separately payable work and its validity. Installation: separate the standard job from extra work

For an AC, ask about the standard installation charge and whether extra pipe, an outdoor-unit stand, electrical work or core cutting is needed. For a water heater, confirm suitable mounting, plumbing and electrical arrangements with a qualified installer. Agree any additional work and its charge before it starts.

Do not use a general online estimate as your final installation quote. The product, site conditions and technician's assessment determine the actual scope.

When the appliance arrives

Match the box and invoice to the model you ordered, inspect accessible packaging and report visible damage or a model mismatch promptly. Keep the invoice, serial number and installation record. Follow the manufacturer's commissioning instructions before switching on the appliance.
